RUBBLE THEATER 2019

Rubble Theatre was installed in St Enoch. Square in Glasgow as part of Refugee Festival Scotland, as a public and performance art installation. A  beaten up old car – filled with books, suitcases, toys and other objects balanced precariously on piles of “rubble”,

the cars appear overloaded with personal possessions, resembling mobile living rooms. “Impossible houses” offering moving

tributes and testaments to loss, resilience and hope for more than 50 million displaced people around the world. The performance was playing on the idea: “How do you keep living on in the rubble of your culture”.
