ZONES

In the workgroup "ZONES" I deal with active United Nations peacekeeping missions.

There are 14 active missions, mainly in the Middle East and Africa. Some of them are demilitarized zones, others are defacto states, some are in existing countries. 

Most of these conflicts started after colonial power moved out and leaving a chaos behind willingly or unwillingly.

Decades later, most of these states are still refusing to take responsibility for the chaos they created after dividing countries, people and stealing heritage and resources.  

The following works mark the borders where the UN is operating. The Title of each work is the short name of each mission.
