ZONES

In the workgroup "ZONES" I deal with active United Nations peacekeeping missions.

There are 14 active missions, mainly in the Middle East and Africa. Some of them are demilitarized zones, others are defect states and some are in existing countries. 

A lot of these conflicts started after a colonial power moved out and not willing to take responsibility for the chaos they created after dividing countries, people and stealing heritage and resources.
